Made with Longleaf Heart Pine wood from a tobacco barn built in 1940 on the Barney Johnston family farm in Conway.
Native to the South, Longleaf was highly sought after because of its strength, beauty, and natural resistance to decay. It became nearly extinct by the 1930's due to the significant growth of the lumber industry.

I started Good Day Sunshine in 2000, making soap, patchwork clothing, tie dyes, and crochet goodies at home and selling online and at local shows and farmer's markets.
Today my family and I make our handmade goods in our workshop, and carry over a dozen other local artists' work in our boutique in downtown Conway, SC.
